I had a chance to ask the band some questions so we could get to know these up-and-comers.

Your band name is very different (and long to say). How did you decide on it?
Teal - Jim has a very active imagination, and can't sleep sometimes. He made it up when experimenting with letters.

How did the band form? Have you known each other for a long time?
Teal - We have known each other collectively for about 3 years. We just met up! Lincoln isn't too large a town, and we'd all been involved with bands to some degree prior to making tunes together.

As a Nebraska band, was it a no-brainer to sign on with Omaha label Saddle Creek or did you consider going an alternate route?
Teal: It took a lot of braining to make the tunes that got us some fans! They were the only label that offered us the treasure of signing.

Are the songs a group effort or does one of you do the writing?
Teal: We write all at the same time! It takes a long time!

Your songs have some very interesting lyrics - "I like the blackberries" and"Making a tooth suit" for example- where do these lyrics come from?
Teal: All of the lyrics that I write are totally just flying out of my experiences and the way I want to represent reality through music. They sometimes come out of my foot, sometimes out of my hair. Some lyrics leak in from other sources- like stories or poems or kid's screams.

What does the band have planned for the future? I don't think I've come across any music videos. Could those be in the works?
Touring. Making new music. Videos? Perhaps.

Will there be a full tour to support the album release?
Yes, there will be a fall tour.

If you could meet/perform with any musician, alive or dead, who would it be?

Teal- I would meet Bjork, hang out with her, go swimming with her. What could be better than going swimming with Bjork? We could sing under water!!!!!!

Dustin- I wish I could go back to the 70's and meet/see/perform with tons and tons of bands.

And finally, what other bands are you currently listening to?

Teal is listening to Kids of the Atomic Age tapes today!!!
Dustin- Goblin, Gentle Giant and Krallice lately.
